Whether you want to improve your relationship with a life partner, re-evaluate your relationships with your family of origin, or just learn how to better get along with those around you, your quality of life will be significantly improved by having healthy relationships (and putting boundaries around the unhealthy relationships). It may be a simple matter of improving your relational skills and developing a better set of boundaries for self-care and emotional safety. Or, therapy may take you deeper in examining your childhood and past relationships in order to restructure the way you see yourself and the way your relate to others.
If you are wounded in the context of relationships, then it is in the context of relationship that you will find healing. You won’t find healing in a vacuum. You have to engage in safe relationships for healing to take place.
